Description: These glasses are gorgeous. There is a graduated color from the deep yellow/amber base and they gradually lighten when they hit the stem and into the glass bowl. There is an etched ring about 3/4 of an inch below the rim. The gradual color ends in clear glass toward the rim of the glass. Hand washing is preferable to machine washing to keep the integrity of the glass. The product line is Rock Sharpe and they were manufactured in the United States during the 1960s. The pattern is Georgian. These glasses are 'a little small' for wine and 'a little large' for cordial. I think they are perfect for sherry or port. Use them as you see fit:) They were probably made in the USA, but Libbey has manufacturing plants around the world so I can't be sure. I love the base of these glasses - sturdy and large - no tipping accidents with these glasses.
