They are unopened and sealed by mfg. The actual noodles shown in the picture are not included. We simply did not use them in our cooking. Collected over the course of the year, some packets feel firm/hard and some feel light and powdery. I opened a firm one, and the seasoning is congealed and sticky, but it dissolves just fine in the boiling water. I will continue to update the listing as I acquire more packets.
