Description: Purchased this kit for a 1987 corvette that I sold. This kit includes 3 items, and all the necessary hardware for easy installation. Davis Unified Ignition 50,000 volt coil (part number DUI-SS-419), Davis Unified Ignition distributor CAP, and Davis Unified Ignition rotor. This is a screw down style distributor cap.The distributor cap screws are included to secure to your stock GM distributor. Fully functional and has a 50,000 volt DUI coil. Fits all 84-91 Corvettes with (screw down) style distributor cap. All hardware is included. The cap also includes numbered stickers #1-8 so you can't mess up your GM firing order. Ignition control module is not included in this kit. Installation tip: (Nylon screws which are included secure the rotor. Be sure to apply blue loctite to the threads of the nylon screws during installation of rotor. If blue loctite is not used on the threads to the 2 nylon screws that secure down the rotor; the rotor screws could loosen over time. Davis Unified Ignition company uses these nylon screws to secure the rotor to eliminate spark interference inside the cap. I was told by them to use blue loctite on the threads so the nylon screws will not loosen inside the distributor cap. If you were to purchase these parts separately it would cost you over $200. Purchase them both ready to install from my listing for only $80. I sold my corvette and have no use for this distributor cap.
