It comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and Origin from the Black Pearl Gem Company which states:"We hereby certify that the Cultured Tahitian Black Pearl described herein was grown on an atoll in the Tuamotu Archipelago of French Polynesia and that its color is entirely natural. We also guarantee that the pearl has at least a 1.5mm thickness of nacre around its nucleus."It also lists the size as 9.8 mm, the grade as B, and the shape as semi-baroque. Signed in 1997, it gives an indication of the date of sale and age of the pearl. Along with this certificate, this listing includes lovely double boxed packaging to keep the pearl safe and protected.
