Description: Recently the United States Air Force announced that starting next year, they will be getting rid of the A-10 warthog. Now you can own a unique and beautiful tribute to this amazing aircraft. The picture has been laser etched and is a photo I took of the A-10 demo team at an airshow in Portland. A taxidermist friend of mine gave me a few skulls to see what I could do with them. The skulls are real, the tusks however are resin molds of a warthog I hunted while in Africa. (Taxidermists only use the tusks when they are creating their shoulder mounts, therefore skulls are often either discarded or sold like this, with cast molds of the actual tusks). The skull has been cleaned and bleached. I have made 6 of these skulls, a few will have lower jaw attached. This one does not. They truly are a limited edition and once they are gone, you will not find any others like it. This is the perfect Christmas gift for the A-10 enthusiast. I can spray a gloss varnish finish on it if you would prefer it to be shiny.
