Description: A story of the atomic bombing of Nagasaki Japan on August 9, 1945 and it aftermath by an eminent Japanese physician. Dr. Shirabe was a Professor of Surgery at Nagasaki Medical University in Japan. He died in 1989. The book contains a photograph of the author, a chart of the radius of the damage of the bombing, along with a number of illustrations by him and a few photographs, as the author relates his story of the bombing of Nagasaki with his diary starting with the bombing on on August 9, 1945. A nice, and fairly scarce, book from the Japanese prospective. There is no dustjacket; I do not believe it was published with one. Free USPS media mail shipping.
