Description: Agatha Christie - Five Little Pigs - Facsimile of 1942 1st Edition - 1st Printing + Belly Band/Wrap issued 2008 Cloth hardback Harper Collins facsimile edition (i.e. NOT the Book Club Associates or Partworks Edition). This is the first edition of the facsimile issue, first printing (first impression) bearing the number "1" on the copyright page indicating a true first print. Neither the dust jacket nor the belly band are price-clipped and both are in excellent condition with no obvious signs of wear. The book itself is also in excellent near mint condition and is similarly free of defects with no bumps, no inscriptions, an uncreased spine and binding which remains tight - see photos. The dust jacket & belly band are protected with an acid-free static (i.e. not self-adhesive) clear cover that I fitted on purchase. Please note: Unlike some later reprints/reissues, these facsimile editions contain the full, unrevised and unexpurgated text as it would have appeared in the original UK first editions. Consequently, some titles may contain language reflecting the attitudes prevailing at the time of original publication which may now be deemed offensive and/or discriminatory. I collected a few of these facsimile editions as they were published between 2005-2013, but as I am now down-sizing my store of treasures in advance of moving to a smaller property I will be listing more of these books in the coming weeks. A copy that's been read just once, always using a bookmark and with the dust jacket & belly band removed to prevent wear and tear.
