AHM/Rivarossi HO Burlington Route GE U25C Diesel Locomotive #550 in Original Box

Description: Vintage, HO scale Rivarossi Burlington Route GE U25C Diesel Locomotive in Excellent Overall Condition in Original Box. Road # 550, AHM Stock # 5056. Made in Italy. Take a look at the photos (enlarged) and see what you think. (Pardon any camera flash reflection.) ALL factory-installed detail parts appear to be present as loco has been very gently run! It test-ran well/smoothly, for just a few feet in both directions on a straight track to confirm it runs. Headlights illuminate on both ends and number boards illuminate as well. Will probably need a good lube & oil as it has sat idle in box for quite some time. As can be seen in last 3 photos, the loco's silver metal wheels indicate obvious use, but they are also extremely clean! I cleaned all the wheels myself, for optimal electrical pick-up. The four original traction tires are present and in excellent shape. Both trucks are powered with 8-wheel drive. Other than just a little on the short hood railings (see 3rd photo), I see no rust on the vast majority of the black metal handrails, which is somewhat unusual with these 1970's vintage Rivarossi U25C models. As you can see, the body shell paint is certainly in "excellent" overall condition with only very minor blemishes on the roof. Loco is equipped with factory-installed horn-hook couplers and looks to be complete parts-wise. Box is shelf-worn with a couple tears in cellophane window, but it still remains in good/solid condition. As you can see in 6th photo, the plastic insert tray is very worn/brittle with a large hole & some cracks and it is only in "fair" condition. To preserve that insert, I will thoroughly bubble-wrap the loco and very carefully pack it next to the AHM box inside the shipping carton. No paperwork is included. "Buy It Now" price offered.
