The age of the painting is not known, as it is undated. The title is hand written verso, "Plein air near La Conner WA." Kargopoltsev was born in Russia. He was drawing by the age of four years and he attended art school from the age thirteen. He emigrated to the United States in 1993. He is known for realistic and impressionistic paintings with subjects including landscapes, seascapes, still lifes, and portraits. Kargopoltsev is an art teacher and his paintings have been exhibited in galleries in Washington and Oregon. Condition The painting looks great overall, as shown. It is unframed.
