This is such a work-of-art and extravagant pocket watch from the 1880s that on the back cover it depicts European village scene with a church nestled next to a lake with trees that are all surrounded by a mountain range in the background. Each element was made in a different solid gold color where you have yellow gold, rose gold, green gold, and blue gold for an amazing combination of 4 different colored gold. The intricacies of the decorations is astounding as well, it will be an heirloom quality antique collectible that can be passed down for generations. Condition-wise the watch runs and sets normally, but we cannot guarantee any functional or mechanical elements as this is an antique timepiece over 100 years in age. We recommend for any and all antique pocket watches to undergo service by a trusted watchmaker to extend its usage life. Cosmetically the enamel dial has a slight hairline running from the subseconds chapter to 11 o’clock hour marker. It is very faint and hard to see by naked eye. The case is in excellent shape with most of the applied gold elements still sharp to the touch. All of the coin edging, drum edging, and engravings on the case are in excellent shape as well. The case is very heavy for its size as it is a very solid 18K gold hunter case with total weight of 65g. Diameter is 38.5mm.
