There are no scratches or wear-and-tear on the device. Everything works. There is no Wi-Fi with this model. You'll need to use a wireless dongle to connect to the internet. I would say the battery life is about 4 hours with this device, which is average, depending on how demanding the game is. The battery has an odd behavior of quickly going to 0% charge once it reaches 20%. This is a somewhat common occurrence with Anbernic devices. That's something you can plan around, though. Otherwise the battery behaves normally from 100% - 20%. The battery does work, I've charge it plenty of times. The original firmware (operating system) and games from Anbernic are included with this purchase. Turn it on and start playing games right away.
