Description: ANTIQUE 1846 ADAMS AND CO. OCTAGON SHAPED BUTTER DISH W/ROUND GLOBE COVER. This butter dish is flawless. My great grandmother received this as a wedding gift. She never used it. I just sat on her buffet table. This was then given to my mother, and now after cleaning out the attic, this was found. I have nowhere to keep it. Someone should appreciate its beauty and history. This piece dates back to 1846. John Adams created this in his glass company in Pittsburg PA. His company was one of the largest glass factories in the US till 1930.
