Description: Rare antique ceramic box with a bright red floral transfer-ware pattern. White oval space in the center where a name, date, or other personalization could be added. It'd make a gorgeous ring presentation box for an antique engagement set. The box measures approximately 3 7/8" by 2 3/4" at the base, 1" deep, and about 1.5" high with the lid. The base is stamped under the glaze in brown "[crown], Delphine, Crown, China, England", with a handwritten "'384" over glaze. The stamp was used by J H Middleton in the 1890s.
