Description: This exquisite one-of-a-kind 1900-1930s tribal rug makes it's way from the Hasan Dagi Mountain Range in Cappadocia. It features bold rich colors with geometrical designs. Floral borders encompass tribal patterns that surround a stunning double medallion. Nomads displayed soft plush runners like this next to their divan and invited their guests to sit with them and converse. The tribal patterns all have meaning that beg to be deciphered. This rug features an extremely dense and tightly woven wool pile on a solid cotton foundation. Natural dyes and colors include: royal blue, crimson, camel, ivory, and more. This hand made rug is made of non-shedding hand spun wool making it easy to clean, and making it incredibly soft to walk and lounge on. This densely woven wool rug contains natural oils called lanolin that naturally resist dirt and grime, therefore allowing it to look cleaner for much longer than synthetic rugs. Regular vacuuming will remove any dirt and grime, and allow you to enjoy your rug for many decades.
