Description: Antique Art Nouveau Gothic Match Box Tabletop Vesta Holder is in "Very Good" condition & has a wonderful natural aged patina (consistent with age & use) to what we believe is brass & cast iron. This particular match box vesta is believed to be over 100 years old in part do to the extremely rare & unique 15th-16th century gothic medieval design work to this extraordinary piece. The table top piece itself sits just under 4 inches in height x 1 3/4 inch wide (facing the kneeling man) & just under 3 inches in length (from toe to opposite mans toe). The match box holder itself with detailed Gothic design on all sides is 2.25 inches deep. We tend not to follow suit & over use the term RARE, however in this situation not only are genuine antique vesta's limited, this particular style we have yet to see any like it anywhere... thus we will say it is quite RARE.
