Description: Antique Carbolic Acid Apothecary Bottle Skull Crossbones Poison Crown Point, IN Interestingly shaped pharmacy bottle from Scheddell and Wendt Bros., Druggists, Crown Point, Indiana. Bottle has on bottom:"W.T. Co10 214U.S.A." Label has the antidote for ingestion of carbolic acid right on the front of it. Bottle neck glass is not ground inside so, I believe it would have had a cork stopper.Reverse of bottle has a recessed area that I would have thought was intended for the label, but this pharmacy had a horizontal label, so theirs was placed on the convex front. Label is in great shape. No cracks or chips to bottle. There is a small divot under the rim that feels completely smooth, so I believe it is a flaw in the original bottle making. (See last photo.) Bottle is 4.25 inches tall x 2.25 inches wide x 1 inch deep. I have not washed or rinsed out this bottle. There is a bit of cloudy residue inside. As with any pharmaceutical chemicals, you should take care and wear gloves when handling if you decide to wash it out. I will ship as soon as I receive payment.
