Description: This is an original Antique Porcelain Blue White Bowl from China produced during the Ming Dynasty. The bowl is of superior quality without cracks. This type of porcelain was produced in China principally for export to the large number of Chinese Communities scattered through Southeast Asia and is sometimes called Chinese Trade Pottery. The bowl dates from the 17th Century and was purchased by my father & myself in Penang, Malaysia during the period he owned an Asian antique shop on the island in the 1970's to early 1980's. He only purchased from reputable local dealers who sourced their inventory from locals living on the island.
