It has an iron handle and brackets. This is a hanging bucket (pot, cauldron, etc.) that would have been used in the fireplace to cook food. It has dovetail seams around the lower perimeter and on one side. The rat tail handle appears to be hand forged and attached with rivets. Makers Mark: none found Dimensions: 10 diameter at the top, 11 diameter at the bottom, 7.5 tall on the short side. The bottom is rounded, so it is hard getting an exact measurement of the height. CAPACITY - 2 GALLONS Condition:VERY GOOD: Shows signs of wear and use commensurate with age but still very attractive. No holes.
