Description: My usual basic description with all the needed details, none of the flowery sales pitch stuff. PICTURES ARE PART OF THE DESCRIPTION. Please look carefully. Please ask for more pictures if needed. The LAST PICTURE shows part of my collection so stay tuned. This auction is only for the doll described. The stand is included. Please remember, this is a big doll, and thus quite heavy. She needs a big box to be safely shipped. That means it is pricey. i do not set shipping rates! This auction is for a 27" Kammer & Reinhardt Simon & Halbig doll. She was made around 1910 HEAD: no hairline cracks, it has been back lit. Any stray lines are most likely hair strands but please ask. Her brown sleep eyes are antique but not original to the doll. She does not have pierced ears. The original 4 front teeth are present. Her human hair wig is braided. It really needs to be washed & conditioned and then have the braids remade in front. They frame her face much more nicely but made the cap part of the wig bulge and look ugly for the photos. I don't have hairdressing skills.MARKS: (as they appear on head)K*RSIMON & HALBIG403GERMANY 69BODY: it is tight. It probably is not original to the doll. I had her displayed sitting but she should do well on a stand. It is stamped Heinreich Handwerck Germany on the right low back. Her fingers are all intact, no repairs, and are a matched set. Toes are intact. It has the usual dings. The biggest defects are a dent just above the right breast a 0.5" indented circle on the outside of the left thigh, and the inside of the right thigh is partially crushed. These defects do not cause any problems with the stringing or positioning. CLOTHING: she has reproduction socks and shoes. The shoes have a heel and a bow. She has antique undergarments but they are not a matched set. The underpants are long enough to cover the leg damage (as is the dress) They are pinned at the waistline as I had them slipped stitched shut. The dress is calico and silk. It is well made. It closes with snaps. The yoke has some very minor staining. SHIPPING Shipping is an estimate. I put in estimated total weight and package size, Ebay gives you a price based on that and the distance it will travel from Connecticut. I will ship the least expensive way possible. The package will be insured for the value paid. It is included in the shipping cost. I expect payment within 3 days of purchase or receipt of invoice unless otherwise agreed.I will combine shipping when I can. No more than 4 dolls per box. ALL COMBINED PURCHASES MUST BE PAID FOR TOGETHER SINCE I CAN'T INSURE IT PROPERLY OTHERWISE. Dolls cannot be shipped with the wigs. INTERNATIONAL: SHIPPING THROUGH EBAY INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING PROGRAM ONLY!!!PLEASE CHECK IF THERE IS A DOLLAR LIMIT FOR YOUR COUNTRY. I am not a professional dealer. I am selling my collection of 1000+ dolls, accumulated over 40 years. Many of these have been put together with parts bought separately over years. I describe to the best of my ability. FOR PACKING I USE PREVIOUSLY USED BOXES, CLEAN PLASTICS THAT CAN BE RECYCLED, NOT NEW PACKING MATERIALS. THE HEAD IS WRAPPED IN EITHER NEW OR USED BUBBLE WRAP. THE BOX/PACKING WILL NOT LOOK PRETTY OR ELEGANT BUT THE CONTENTS WILL BE SECURE. THESE MATERIALS MAY BE PLASTIC MILK CARTONS, NEWSPAPERS, EMPTY FOOD PACKAGES, ETC. These all have been washed in hot soapy water and allowed to dry completely.
