Description: An antique early 19th-century American sampler dated Jan 1st, 1836 is available for a collector. The work was signed by the maker Sarah Swindell on the opposite side. It features a lovely mourning poem and deft needlework of soft green pine trees and red flower baskets. A border of red flowering vines surrounds the central message and other design elements. The piece is in excellent antique condition. The sampler measures: 12” by 13”, framed it measures approximately 16” by 16”. The frame is lovely but not original.
