Description: This antique pair of French wall sconces was brought over by Americans living in France for 20 years. They collected and would send shipping containers over of French antiques. This particular pair of solid brass wall sconces were originally gas and converted over to electric when brought to America. The details are over the top impressive, and I’ve never seen another set like them. The double winged griffins on the back plate, to the large genie lamp on the bridge arm, just present wonderfully. Original paint overall presents well and has held up. There are a few spots of paint imperfection. Each sconce weighs approximately 5.5 lbs. sconces are so hard to picture, so please look closely at all of the photos. The quality and casting of the brass is high quality.
