Description: Very dear Heubach hand-painted porcelain bisque figurine of a naked child sitting cross legged, with his hands up to his face and blowing a kiss. Very nicely modeled action baby with detailed molded and brushed hair, fingers, toes, and you can even see muscles in his back! He is topped him with the sweetest little face.Approximately 4.25” high, 3” back to front, and 2.25” wide. He is in wonderful clean condition, with no chips or repairs that I can see. There is something that might be a firing crack through the hole in the bottom - it doesn’t seem repaired to me, seems like something done in manufacturing. I took multiple pictures so you can see for yourself. He is an incredibly sweet German piano baby made by Gebrüder Heubach, Lichten, Germany, in the 1880's to the 1920'sHe can be seen on page 61, and with a bathing cap on page 64 in Carol Ann Stanton’s “Heubach’s Little Characters Dolls & Figurines 1859-1930” book. He can also be seen sitting in a basin on page 126 in “Heubach’s Characters Dolls & Figurines” book by Lydia Richter and Karin Smelcher. He will be double-boxed and carefully wrapped to ensure he makes it to you safe and sound!
