Description: Antique French Grand Tour Uranium Green Opaline Jade Perfume Bottle 19th Century This is lovely antique ca.1850s French Empire Napoleon III era Baccarat uranium green opaline glass perfume scent bottle 'Vert Feuille' with Dore bronze ‘Ormolu’ mounts and hinged lid. Top has a picture of what I believe is the Arc de Triomphe on the top. The bottle was most likely originally purchased on the Palais Royale in Paris during the Grand Tour Era when wealthy travelers began traveling to the tourist areas of the world during the mid-late 19th c. This is the much rare shape with a wider base and smaller top section. Has a gilded mesh skirt around both tiers of the bottle. Has its original stopper but it is stuck inside the bottle, have not tried to remove for fear of snapping the glass. In great condition with usual wear and pitting on the underside of the lid. Displays wonderfully and one for a true collector. Please study the pictures carefully as they form part of the description. Dimensions - 8cms high, 6cms wide at the base I do not use GSP. Any international parcel will be sent Royal Mail tracked. UK postage is high to allow for fully insured delivery of the item.
