Description: Beautiful Antique Knights Templar Sword made by The Henderson-Ames Co., Kalamazoo, Michigan. This sword with markings of Henderson-Ames was manufactured sometime between 1893 and 1923. Frank Henderson, Kalamazoo, Michigan, began selling and manufacturing swords and regalia in 1850. In 1871 he partnered with Theron F. Giddings and in 1873 resumed trade as Frank Henderson. Then he began association with the Ames Sword Company and in 1893 formed the Henderson-Ames Company. After Henderson's death in 1899 the company continued until 1923 when it was purchased by M. C. Lilley & Co. Sword has play throughout & feels as if it could use tightening. Please refer to pictures as we have taken them to show item description and condition.
