Description: This fabulous amboyna inlaid wood box has some special features: the lid has red tufted silk with extra silk slots for scissors and needles. The inside bottom has also red tufted silk, all original. The outside is a polished burl veneer with a brass inlay and the front has a brass escutcheon. There is no key. Condition is very good, no splits or breaks to the veneer and inside original silk is free from stains and odors. The closure is a bit stiff, no other defects.Measurements are: 7 1/4" by 5" and 3 1/8" tall.
