Description: This is a lovely 19th century Pierrot clown spelter (pot metal) nodder. The head moves freely and the head sits properly when not in motion. No cracks in the body, base or head. There is slight bending of the metal in the base but it sits flat. There is patina/age in the base making it difficult to read the base stamp. There is a circular indentation in the base plate where an inkwell or ashtray might have sat at one time - does not come with an inkwell or ashtray). This was cold painted and there is paint loss but it still displays well. It measures just over 4 inches tall and 4 inches long. Please view all photos and ask any questions prior to purchase.
