Description: Antique Authentic " Non-Sweating Adlake Kerosene Lamp " Used on Erie Canal in NY. This is a very heavy original kerosene lamp used in the shipping industry on the Erie Canal System . The lamp itself is 18" high. The handle extends another 5" taller making the overall height about 23". The base is about 11" in diameter . The fluted glass lens is free from chips or cracks . The lamp is fully functional and is in excellent overall condition. The only other one I have ever seen is in the Albany Museum of History and Art. This is a Very Rare Item .
