Description: Antique PRIMITIVE BENTWOOD DRY MEASURE. This antique bentwood 4 quart dry goods measure is made of oak with an overlapped tapered joint. The joint is secured with iron nails and the one piece bottom board is pegged to the sides. The unfinished oak has darkened with age. The interior bottom has a branded name of a maker that is mostly worn away. It measures 9" diameter x 5 1/2" tall. This is a well used measure with some minor chips and splits.
