Description: antique pewter lidded pottery Stein incised Germany mark with Tavern Scene I don't claim to know much about steins but I have been selling antiques for 25 years and I believe I know old when I see it and this stein is old. I got it at an estate tag sale of a stein collector about 10 years ago. NOTE - the pewter lid is thinner pewter than the post war souvenir German steins I have seen. No chips or cracks to the pottery. The pewter lid shows age and wear. There is a small hole punched in it and the pewter is slightly misshapen, also a small crack where the thumb tab attaches to the lid. See all photos.
