They were used as key tags, key fob's and identification tags, luggage tags, trunk tags, dog tags. Their main purpose was to return lost keys and other important items back to their rightful owners. If you're reading this ad you already know how rare these FOB's are. The fact they are blank and not engraved make them even rarer. Made out of nickel-silver also called German silver. Nickel silver is stronger and more expensive than brass. And, it doesn't tarnish as much as brass. Back in the day manufacturers chose nickel-silver over brass for higher quality items like these fobs. These look gorgeous and resemble sterling silver.
