Description: This very old fine china Quaker Oats bowl measures 7 1/2 inches across and one and 7/8 inches tall. I believe it is an early advertising image of the Quaker Oats man within a tangle of oats. He is holding a cereal box, and what looks like a scroll with the word “pure“ in the other hand. It has a floral border. It is missing most of its gold rim. The bowl is marked on the back with a cross. In 1877 Quaker Oats registered as the first trademark for a breakfast cereal. The trademark was registered with the U.S. Patent Office as "a figure of a man in 'Quaker garb.'" This is most likely from the late 1800’s to the early 1900’s. There are no chips or cracks
