Description: Up for auction at the Grand Antique Mall, located in Cincinnati, Ohio is an Antique Rookwood Pottery Vase Signed by Jens Jensen, Rookwood artist from 1928-1948. Double vellum glaze. Daffodils encircle the vase against a mottled mauve background. The vase’s interior is spring green. Finisher’s dot by Reuben Earl Menzel, Rookwood artist and manager from 1896-1959. Shape number 419. At the base's edge is a small factory grind (refer to photos #8, #9 + #10). Date: 1927. Dimensions: 8.25”H x 6” x 6” Weight: 2.30 lbs. Rookwood opened its doors in 1880 and quickly grew world famous. By the time the opportunity to merge with Tiffany & Company arrived in 1967, it was too late.
