Description: Antique Musical, Rotating Christmas Tree Stand With Original Wood Crate and Holly Tree Cup By J.C. Eckardt of Germany. Dimensions: Approx. 4.25" high without cup, 9.5" high with cup.Base is approx. 14" across with the top being approx. 10" across. Center hole is 1.5" across.Crate is approx. 6.5" high and 15.25" wide and 15.25" long. Original key, cast iron holly tree cup, and original wood crate. Rotation and music box work by clockwork movement. There is a switch for rotation and a switch for music. Music can be turned off while tree rotates. Works perfectly. From the late 1800s or early 1900s. Best for an artificial tree. Scratches, dents and blemishes. Could use a light polish. Center where tree trunk goes has been slightly modified - probably to make a larger tree trunk fit. Also, there is an old electrical cord that was fed through one of the existing holes and then cut off. My guess is this was a previous owner's modification for lights but I cannot say for sure. It's been this way since I've owned it. Overall, in very good condition. I believe there is only one song but I have always been careful with how much I wind it due to its age so there is possibly more.
