For UPS only*** A presumed Shaker churn found in New Hampshire. Original blue paint. All 5 hoops are double riveted with characteristically Shaker "V" cut ends. Bottom is slightly convex. Period repaired lid with copper nails. Staves taper from 1/2" thickness at the bottom to a delicate 1/8" thickness at the top (old losses noted; see pics). The dasher is dovetailed and pegged, with squared corners. Written on the underside of the lid accounts that "This churn was used in the 300th celebration in Exeter 1938 by Mary Chase Junkins(sp?) and Robert Smith for the (???)". Total height with dasher handle is approx. 46"H. See pics for additional details, and please ask any questions you might have.
