Description: Forbes Silver Co. Silver Plate Centerpiece Flower Frog Circa 1920's. A vintage silver plate centerpiece flower frog by Forbes Silver Company of Meriden, Connecticut. The centerpiece features a round reticulated lid with a scrolled foliate motif finial to its center, a pierced floral patterned rim and a flat underside. It is hall marked to its underside and additionally 2970 patent no 72884. Label on bottom states “it is lacquered to prevent tarnish.” Some tarnish and surface scratches. Please see photos. A good polish and this would be simply stunning!
