Couldn’t quite get it done up on the model. I may have been able to, but I didn’t want to risk pulling on the fabric. Generally, it does feel quite sturdy though. The bow that goes around the waist and hangs down the back is just gorgeous. It is a very thick silk satin. I was kind of tempted to take it off and put it on some other clothing of mine. it looks like there used to be fur on the cuffs. See photos. This is really, truly gorgeous and I can’t believe people used to dress this way.
