Description: Antique Wooden Nursing Rocking Chair w/ Wicker Seat & Wood Spindles Back. I'm not an antique chair expert, but this is clearly very old. My guess is mid to late 1800's, but a collector may know the best estimate of period time. The seat is 17" wide x 17" deep, (19 3/4" w/ the knob extension for the diagonal bracing spindles). The rocking chair is larger that a children's rocker, but smaller than an adult rocker, which would make it a "Nursing Rocking Chair". The back height is 33" high. The wood has that very old aged blacked look. It is rickety with its age, and has some wood cracks from the old age. The bottom rails have been taped and foam insulation strip put on the bottom because of the long usage wear. If your a collector of antiques, then this may be of interest. Thanks for looking!
