Description: The frame size is 29"x36". The image size appears to be 18"x25.5". However, an examination of the image in other representations shows that the matting covers up about 1/4" of the image on some of the 4 sides. "The Risen Lord" is an interesting Friberg work in that when he originally created it in 1963 for the Gospel in Art series of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints ("Church") it was called "Christ Appearing to the Nephites." The image was soon dropped from the series reportedly due to Friberg's Christ wearing a robe that allows one to view a portion of his torso. Supposedly Friberg refused to alter the image and the Church never purchased the image. Based on the framing date I have made the assumption that this print was created in the 1990s. I have set a high price for this because I really don't have an idea for what it's worth (I am not the original owner), other than that slightly smaller images (16"x22")(also numbered and signed) are listed for sale in various places for anywhere from $599 to over $1500. I have not been able to track down any comparable sales of another print from this same limited edition run of 1500. I have set the offer floor at $700, although I'm in no hurry to sell at that price. Give me a good reason as to why I should accept your offer and I just might. Sorry, local pickup only.
