Much of his professional career being spent in Novi, Michigan, a location granting him easy access to Lake Saint Clair, the low rolling hills of mid & northern Michigan; as well as egress points into Canada; The Saint Lawrence Seaway & into the stunning Canadian Maritime Regions of Quebec & Newfoundland (areas founded by the French four centuries ago, that remain French Speaking, with fishing villages nearly indiscernible from those of Central & Northern France). From the 1960’s to his death in 2000, he gained recognition for his artistic works: a brilliant eye & use of light- leaving the viewer an exact sense of weather (and artist) ambience- a Feel that is almost Tactile in nature, as well as visually appealing. Mr. MacIsaac was a decorated World War II veteran who served in the Southwest Pacific Theatre of Operations; after the war, MacIsaac became a renowned graphic designer for decades in the metropolitan Detroit area: He produced many exemplary and vivid works until his death in Clearwater, Florida in December of 2000 (one of his last works is on offer with this site until sold), he created nearly 600 works in various mediums- created at or from varying locations he travelled to throughout North America, this seller is offering some of his incredible mid-century modern & post modernistic landscape works created in various painting mediums & location from his visual studies from: Bodi (Bodie), California (Southern CA), Quebec City, Quebec, Canada, summer, winter & waterscapes in Canada, Michigan & American Midwest that are All Exceptional- and finally one of his last (and largest) works, a fantastical sea battle, with touches of surrealism.
