He drove past Wingfoot Lake each day and often saw Goodyear blimps there. This came up in a class where a student's father worked there. He said he could get my husband a tour (and I could go too!) He absolutely loved all things related to blimps and airships. It was such a great experience and these items were given to him as we left. He had quite a collection of authentic items which I have mostly kept. At 77, I've downsized and decided to share some of his items. I hope someone else will enjoy this as much as he did. The sentence below is on one of the other airship things of his that I do have listed here on ebay. I am adding this note that he added: I grew up with a very great interest in airships. My father was an engineer at Goodyear Aircraft (later changed to Goodyear Aerospace) designing blimps for the Navy. He even got me up in the original Blimp "RANGER." We have always stored our items in our smoke-free and pet-free home.
