I recently hand washed this previously owned and very unusual hand painted tie. It is very clean with no stains, no unusual odors. Your tie will be shipped in a new white box. I will wrap the box in brown packing paper for shipping and as long as the box is not damaged in shipping, it will be appropriate for gifting. I have included photos to show how the tie will be rolled for shipping. - Colors are white with hand painted blue trees and signed by Linda. When I run my fingers over the blue colors I can feel the very slight thickness of the paint. - This is a hand painted tie so there is some creative license accepted re how an artist completes and presents their work. There may be variations that would not be a concern if the work was created by a machine. Accepting the individuality of an artist's work may be the appropriate thing to do in this case. As a customer, of course you choose if these particular variations are acceptable. When I came back to this listing today I did remember to look for two imperfections. It took bright lighting and the magnifiers for me to find these again. I had noticed two spots of white paint on blue I have included photos to show these details. They are very hard to notice and are located approximately 2 1/2" below the top of the painted tree and approximately 27 1/2" from the tip of the wide end of the tie. This is half the length of the tie so I believe it would be around the neck under the shirt collar? I don't wear ties so I can not be sure. Please note that there may be color variations from how the color appears on your screens vs actual color due to techincal details/monitor settings. - Overall length is 55" x 3 1/4" wide. - There is an embroidered label on the back of the tie that is navy with embroidered letters and logo that reads "Hanover St THE WORKS LTD/ MADE IN U.S.A. The small white label you see toward the bottom narrow end of the tie states RN 35124 80% Pole 20% silk. All of the photos in all of my listings are of the actual item my buyers will receive.
