Even if the other members of the group are not there, the album is very crowe-ish. Very crisp and clean southern Blues Rock, typical from the brothers style and The Black Crowes. It shows that Chris and Rich have been playing together for a long time. We can really hear the chemistry between them on this album. The set list is very nice too, with some surprises. We do have a few ballads but we also have rocking blues songs, including " The Magic Rooster" Blues and the outstanding version of "Thorn in my Pride" which is 12 minutes long with an amazing guitar solo at the beginning and a very groovy harmonica solo half way through the song.Chris voice is amazing, with energy and intensity, whether it's a nice and softy ballad or a solid blues groove you can be sure Chris will deliver. Rich also has a few songs on the album as well, "Leave it Alone" is strong.
