Description: I found this piece of leather in an old box that was about to be thrown away. It looks like it was started by someone then stopped. In my endeavors to use reclaimed leather I thought I would see if I could turn it into something beautiful. Though it's not my best work I feel like it has a great home spun look to it. There are pictures in the back of what it looked like when I first found it. Strap is 1/8 of an inch thick brown cow hide leather 1" wide and 37. 3/8 inches long. Tip to tip. Each leather thong is an additional 8 inches this makes the strap some what adjustable in where you would like your powder horn to ride. The pattern is hand-tooled The ends are finished with oil tinted 5oz cow hide and hand sewn.
