Description: Buck 110 S35VN READ. This knife is all Buck, but it is not offered in this configuration by Buck. I acquired some genuine Buck S35VN blades from a limited run, and swapped this one into a standard Buck 110. The blade action is slick, and opens and closes with a nice snap. The blade alignment is right down the center. The knife was brand new and unused, and the blade is also brand new and unused. It comes in the knife’s original box with leather belt pouch. I assume that Buck would warranty it as both the blade and handle are genuine Buck products. If you broke the blade and sent it in, I don’t know if they would send you an S35VN blade or an S30V blade. They should honor the upgraded steel from 420HC, but I dont believe they stock all of the exotic blade materials that they sometimes sell in the “Buck of the month” or “stealth run” knives. S35VN is an excellent knife steel. It displays higher toughness and corrosion resistance than S30V with almost equal edge holding. Both hold an edge about twice as long as the 420HC that Buck sells in its cheaper knives, and sharpen quite readily. I have a number of Bucks in 440C, 425Mod, 420HC, S35VN, and Magnacut, and the S35VN and MagnaCut are my definite favorites. They hold an edge longer than any of the others and sharpen more easily than 440C. S35VN is an excellent steel, and very difficult to find in a Buck 110.
