Description: BUESCHER ARISTOCRAT ALTO SAXOPHONE 'BIG B' 1942 Serial #301586, which puts it's birthday at 1942. (They didn't cut corners back then.) I bought this 46 years ago, then decided to get a tenor as well. Then got a soprano, then a bari. Didn't feel the need to bring all four to gigs, so this has been in it's case in a closet for the last 40+ years, except for a couple studio gigs. I'm pretty sure it has original lacquer. Small dent in neck piece, but that's the only one. The neck's tenon joint is very good - no play whatsoever. The G# pad needs to be cleaned now & then as it occasionally sticks (not an uncommon problem.) Other than that, it plays top to bottom as-is, but would certainly benefit from a visit to a sax tech. I'm pretty sure that's the original case. Missing a latch & some vinyl covering, but works. Interior is pretty good. See pics. Ships in a larger cardboard box carefully padded. Thanks for looking!
