Description: This teapot is titled on the lid, “Harvest Song” and the poem is written on one side. This seems like the quintessential English teapot with a rural countryside scene. The shape is different from the big belly, round teapots. I could not find any information on the teapot’s shape. On the bottom it is marked 1675 5. The backstamp reads " Burleigh Ware, Burgess & Leigh, Burslem, England which puts this teapot’s birthday year around 1926 to 1928. The Burleigh Pottery factory is still going strong in England and was started in 1851. This teapot is in fantastic condition for being just shy of 100 years old. There is a tiny chip on the lid, but that is it!. No cracks. There is crazing but that comes with the territory. It will be carefully wrapped for shipping.
