Description: ITEM DESCRIPTION:: -----Pretty example of an old Northwood pattern--the threaded exterior variety is much scarcer than the plain exterior variety.......Item has real nice multi-colored irid on purple colored glass.... .....No cracks on this pretty item, but does have some scuffing or various small areas of irid loss on the rays surrounding the butterfly--not sure what caused it or when it occurred........Possible 1/4" chip at mold line of base--it is iridized over, so it probably occurred when made......On the opposite side of the base there is a 1.5" area that didn't completely fill out when made---some refer this as a "pealing effect"............. The pics were taken outside in natural light and have not been doctored.... -----Item is approx. 2.5" high and is 7.75" wide across the top at the handles and 5.25" across at the pinched in area, and has a 3.125" base......Can clearly see the N trademark in the base. This item is now around 100+ years old...
