This charmingly illustrated pop-up book tells the popular fairy-tale of Asschepoester, or Cinderella, a magical tale in which a young girl finds her prince charming with the help of her fairy godmother.Written in Dutch, published by Amsterdam bases publishing house, J. Vlieger. This particular copy contains three colour lithograph plates, one of which is a double-paged pop-up. Collated, complete. CONDITION Bound in the publisher's original pictorial wraps. Externally, sound, with tide marks to the rear causing discolouration. Chipping to the extremities, with paper lifting a little. Loss to and around the spine, and to the extremities. Cloth to front hinge lifting a little. Bookplate to front paste down. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are a little age toned, but remain bright and clean. Pop-up in working order.
