Description: CERUSSITE, Mottramite, and Quartz Stevenson-Bennett Mine Organ Mining District Doña Ana County New Mexico USA Approximate Size: 3.8 x 3.4 x 2.0 cm Weight: 0.5 ounces (14 grams) White Cerussite crystals, many twinned, sit in pockets associated with druzy Quartz and mustard yellow Mottramite. The piece is a solid Cerussite cluster and pockets were small which caused larger crystals to be intergrown. Therefore, terminations are not complete on the exterior crystals. Collected in 1986. In the early 1990's this classic mine, which produced museum specimens of Cerussite, Wulfenite, Hemimorphite, and Aragonite was permanently closed due to an accident involving some college students.
