The kit comes with new felt 2.75" CV logo dust caps. If you need the 3.75" caps, let us know and we will send those instead. The plastic shims are used to center the voice coil and cone assembly while the speaker is being refoamed. CV speakers have a very tight voice coil gap which leaves little room for error.
